Our Rodenstock Impressionist system customises spectacles using advanced three-dimensional video measurement. This computerised technology draws on German engineering expertise and uses unique dual-camera precision to calculate the position of your eyes and frame in 3D space with an accuracy of 0.1 mm.
Because every frame and every face is different, five key parameters are needed to create a fully customised lens: vertex distance, pantoscopic tilt, frame wrap angle, pupil height, and horizontal centration. Once these measurements are captured, we incorporate them into the lens design to optimise its optical performance. The result is a precisely tailored lens that offers maximum near and distance vision with minimal distortion.
